I’ve never said once we need to completely dismantle police. But we need to come up with reimagined ways of public safety. Lessen the weight on their shoulders. They’re trying to be and do too much without being trained for it. Let’s make their jobs easier. All we hear about is how dangerous and difficult it is. Let’s fix that.

I use these two beautiful eyes that God gave me. Internet, first hand accounts, friends accounts..white and black, friends dads who were state troopers, etc etc.
I know they spend a lot more time on the shooting range than they do in actual real life combat. If your job is public safety and to serve the public..... Why would I need to look and know what they actually do in training to understand they are failures?

Social workers need to investigate it and see if they can handle it in a civil manner. Cops need to be waiting for word in case it is needed. They should have damn near ZERO discretion. THEY ALWAYS should be TOLD what to do. Either by their tax paying citizens or by another public servant who is ranked higher than them....which should be everybody.

Firearms training is a very small part of the overall training in law enforcement...
Sure they are trained thoroughly on how to handle a firearm...As should be it is a deadly weapon of course.
But the overwhelming majority of law enforcement officers go their entire careers without EVER firing their weapon...that is facts...look it up.
Police officers deal with a TON of non violent non criminal calls daily...basically peoples personal problems they cannot resolve themselves...and what do people do they call the cops...because they have no one else to call.

They might not fire their gun on the line of duty. But in the firing range they absolutely are. And they return again and again and again to shoot at that shooting range. And then they retire and then they teach people how to shoot lmao. Bro they need some combat training. Not everything is shooting.

I don’t believe in getting rid of all police. But 10000% changes need to be made. Do I know all of those changes and what new ways we need to operate? I don’t know those answers. But it’s being discussed.
Most police officers are good people. I totally disagree with you. I know many police officers and they are genuinely good. The police are in an impossible position. They are attacked too often and I wont tie their hands in the use of force. We live in a dangerous society as it is.
